Welcome to the New Mission Center!
After years of planning and preparation, Spirit of Joy moved into its new mission center on January 22, 2006. We continue giving thanks to God and to the many people who have worked so hard and gave so much to make this possible. We look forward to the many ways this new building will be used by God as an instrument of grace, healing, learning, and serving in the months and years to come!

New Member Classes
All persons interested in becoming a part of Spirit of Joy's ministry are asked to attend a new member Discovery Class. This gathering includes an overview of what it means to follow Jesus as Lutheran Christians, the mission, vision, and core values of Spirit of Joy and an opportunity to get better acquainted with others taking this step. To indicate your interest in attending a future class, please complete a guest response form in worship, or call or email Pastor Jeff Eisele (333-2004 or jeffeisele@spiritofjoy.net).
Parish Office
Spirit of Joy's parish office hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 a.m.-12 p.m., Wednesdays 1-4 p.m., and other times by appointment. The telephone number is 333-2004.
L.I.F.E. Groups
Spirit of Joy launched L.I.F.E. (Living In Faith Every day) small groups in early 2003. LIFE groups meet twice a month and offer you the opportunity to gather with others for conversation, study, service, and prayer. For more information, contact Pastor Jeff Eisele.

Spirit of Joy held its first worship service on December 3, 2000.

Spirit of Joy kicked off its "Forward in Faith, Growing to Serve" capital/building campaign in March 2004.

Spirit of Joy kicked off its "Growing in Spirit" stewardship campaign and land fund appeal on Sunday, October 6, 2002.

Spirit of Joy approved its constitution and elected its first Leadership Team during its Organization Sunday, October 13, 2002.

Spirit of Joy had its first Confirmation Sunday on October 27, 2002.

Spirit of Joy was officially recognized as a new congregation in the South Dakota Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) on Sunday, November 3, 2002. Bishop Andrea DeGroot-Nesdahl of our South Dakota Synod, and Pastor Keith Zeh, mission director of the ELCA for five synods in South Dakota, North Dakota, and Minnesota, assisted with this special recognition service.

Spirit of Joy's first Leadership Team was installed on Recognition Sunday, November 3, 2002. Leadership Team members included: President - Mike Kuzeppa, Vice-President/President-Elect - Jerry Nugent, Secretary - Wilma Estes, Treasurer - Virgil Eckhoff, Growth Team - Carol Elkins, Ministry Resources Team - Daryl Sopko, Outreach Team - Gary Wurgler, and Worship Team - Geraldine Thurman.
