"One Sunday" is the worship team at Spirit of Joy.  The group consists of eleven musicians and always welcomes guest instrumentalists and vocalists of all ages.  Current musicians include:

Many ask how the name "One Sunday" ever came to be.  We could make up some story about the name having deep spiritual meaning, but it simply stuck in the early days of Spirit of Joy when the conversation began about putting together a worship team to play in the worship schedule for one Sunday here and one Sunday there.  There had also been conversations about changing the group's name after a few years of consistent service, but the director jokes that she was invited to participate with the group when the previous director asked her, "would you consider singing with us for just this one Sunday?"  Several years later... and the name of the group remains.

The mission of the worship team is to encourage people to sing and to inspire worshipful experiences through our shared love of music.  The group is also committed to the mission of Spirit of Joy as a caring community in constant service.  Whether that means singing our praises on the road or collecting winter gear for families in need, the ministry reaches beyond the music whenever possible.
