The Spirit of Joy Community Garden was established for those who share a common interest in growing and maintaining various types of plants can simply enjoy their passion together.

Gardening often produces more than a small household needs; therefore much of the produce from our community garden is donated.

Attention Community Gardeners. There are still a few spots left for Spirit of Joy gardeners in our community garden area. If you had a spot last year and want to keep that spot please call or stop into the church office and let Daryl know. Garden spots will be held until May 15th and then made available to other gardeners. The garden plots will be plowed and tilled and should be ready to plant by the end of May.

This year we are asking SOJ gardeners to participate in a share the bounty farmers market that we will start sometime in July. Garden produce will be offered each Sunday with free will offering proceeds to go to a hunger program. Produce not sold each week will be donated to the Sioux Falls Food Bank.
